This violin, the first realization of that effort, is characterized by refined proportions and a balanced, graceful outline. The corners are elongated and softly rounded, contributing to the instrument’s understated elegance. The ff-holes are set with a subtle inward tilt, lending a quiet sense of movement to the overall form. The scroll, with its high-arched swan neck, demonstrates Pietro’s command of sculptural detail and form.
Tonally, the violin presents with clarity and projection across all registers. It is a responsive instrument with a focused, resonant voice, one that has already earned much appreciation.
The varnish, developed specifically for this model, underwent several iterations before the final formulation was chosen. Its warm hue and nuanced texture were designed to complement the natural qualities of the wood without overpowering them.
Now complete, this violin begins its life not only as a tool for performance but as a reflection of the maker’s evolving vision, one rooted in tradition, yet shaped by a personal and forward-looking perspective.
