This violin was made with a desire to experiment with the materials.
Over the past years the theme of sustainability has become ever more present and
that also goes for the world of violin making.
Even though the artisanal industry making industry might not be a heavy burden for the environment, we can all do our part in valuing the precious natural recourses and make sustainable choices.

With this spirit in mind we embarked on the journey of making this violin.
As inspiration for the model we chose one of our favorite models - the Giuseppe
Ornati violin. For the main body we used sustainably sourced spruce and maple
wood and for the fingerboard and set up we opted to use an ebony alternative from SonoWood and Knilling Perfection mechanical pegs.
Besides the fingerboard being environmentally friendly, it also might hold the
projection better in a changing climate than regular ebony wood, which makes this
violin ideal for traveling.
The sound of this violin is warm and rich and has a powerful response to the
movements of the bow.
