Read More At the beginning of 2024, Pietro made the deliberate decision to transform his participation in this year’s Triennale competition into an opportunity to create an extraordinary instrument—one that would embody his artistic vision and technical expertise. For years, Pietro has honed his craft by reinterpreting or emulating historically significant instruments, developing a meticulous eye for detail and a skilled hand in the process. However, the time has come for him to venture beyond these influences and embark on a project that is entirely his own. This violin represents the first creation of Pietro's original model. Its design is distinguished by elegant proportions, with elongated, softly rounded corners that contribute to its graceful silhouette. The ff-holes are set at a subtle angle, adding a dynamic quality to the instrument's appearance, while the scroll features a high arched swan neck, showcasing Pietro’s attention to detail and mastery of form. This violin posses a sound that has filled us with pride already. From high to low the sound is brilliant and demands attention. The development of the varnish was a journey in itself, requiring several trials before Pietro achieved the perfect hue to enhance the natural beauty of the materials. Now, with the instrument complete, this violin is set to embark on its own journey—one that Pietro hopes will be filled with remarkable music and enduring legacy.
