With this spirit in mind we embarked on the journey of making this violin. As inspiration for the model we chose one of our favorite models - the Giuseppe Ornati violin. For the main body we use sustainably sourced spruce and maple wood and for the ngerboard and set up we opted to use an ebony alternative from Sonar Wood and Knilling Perfection mechanical pegs. Besides the ngerboard being environmentally friendly, it also might hold the projection better in a changing climate than regular ebony wood, which makes this violin ideal for traveling. The sound of this violin is warm and rich and has a powerful response to the movements of the bow. Giuseppe Ornati model Length of body: 355 mm Upper bout: 166 mm Lower bout: 206 mmShare:
